Location and Directions

The Rostock University of Music and Drama, is located in the eastern old town of the hanseatic city of Rostock.

By car

you can reach us coming from the A19, over the B 105. The Straße Am Strande (street along the beach) leads directly past the hmt. Turn left at the traffic lights am großen Getreide-Speicher (at the large grain-storage) in to the Grubenstraße (Gruben street) and then immediately turn left again into the Straße Beim St.-Katharinenstift (Street at the Saint Catherine foundation). For parking, it is recommended to turn right at the traffic lights towards city port. After you have parked your car, walk across the Straße Am Strande (street along the beach) and follow the signs.

By train

you can get to the main train station in Rostock. You can then get to the tram stop Neuer Markt (New Market) with the tram lines 5 and 6. From here walk down the Krämerstraße (Krämer street) to your right, up to the Grubenstraße (Gruben street). Then turn left into the Grubenstraße (Gruben street) and then immediately turn left again into the Straße Beim St.-Katharinenstift (Street at the Saint Catherine foundation). The hmt can be seen on the left.
