Ad Infinitum Foundation

Grants for hmt students

Since the winter semester 2010/2011, students at Rostock University of Music and Drama have had the opportunity to apply for grants from the Ad Infinitum Foundation. A college commission selects about eight students to receive grants every year. So far, consideration has been given to artistic achievements in the subjects violin, cello, oboe, bassoon, singing, composition, piano and drama.
The grants are awarded every year in the winter semester.

At the beginning of May each year, a commission from Rostock University of Music and Drama decides which college students are to receive a grant by means of a selection procedure.
The Foundation’s instructions state that artistic achievements in the area of music and drama may be considered.
Recipients of state funding receive a monthly payment of € 250; this amount is higher for all other award holders.
Students whose performance is outstanding and whose own financial means do not exceed the maximum state funding available, who matriculated at Rostock University of Music and Drama no later than the summer semester in which the selection is made and are entitled to receive tuition in their main subject until the end of this semester are eligible to apply.

Applications with programmes for a short audition (15 minutes) incorporating various musical styles and information concerning the applicant’s financial situation can be submitted in the student secretary’s office.

The application deadline is April 15 each year. Late or incomplete applications cannot be considered.
