Voice Prof. Marina Sandel

The renowned teacher and singer is professor at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media; many of her students have won important international prizes, scholarships and engagements, and sing at major opera houses. The mezzo-soprano had a long-term contract at the Aalto Theatre in Essen and performed as a guest at concerts e.g. at the Salzburg Festival, the Ludwigsburg Festival, the Handel Festival Halle, and performed as an opera singer in major roles on numerous stages in Germany and abroad. She was professor at the University of Halle, Vice-President of the BDG, member of the Culture Senate Sachsen-Anhalt and has published many articles on issues related to the teaching of singing and performance practice. She is co-author of Richter’s Die Stimme and co-editor of the OperAria Bände für Frauenstimmen (Volumes for Female Voices), published by Breitkopf&Härtel.
