Prof. Benjamin Köthe

Benjamin Köthe works as a composer, arranger, pianist and keyboarder, both for studio, cinema and television productions, as well as concert projects with a huge variety of orchestras, including the Staatskapelle Halle, the GermanPops Orchestra, and the radio orchestras of the Bayerischer Rundfunk, the NDR and the SWR Kaiserslautern. A further aspect of his broad range of activities is the musical direction of live productions and musicals ("Annie", "Falco meets Amadeus"), as well as solo piano accompaniment (Johannes Heesters, 2000 to 2004).

Benjamin Köthe has been the leading arranger for “Bridges to Classics” at the Handel Festival in Halle since 2003.

Benjamin Köthe was appointed professor at hmt Rostock in November 2006. He had previously been the interim professor for the instrumental major Arranging, for Songwriting and Band Coaching as of summer semester 2005.
