How to order online
Pick up your order then at the library service window next to the main entrance.
Service hours, from April 12th
Members of the university community shall once again be able to access the Library’s collections in person.
Please register with your library card at the librarys entrance and also sign out there when you leave the library. Please do register there as well when you use the reading rooms.
When inside the Library, you must cover your nose and mouth with a medical mask or FFP2-mask.
Library users who are not members of the university community may continue to use the order service.

Borrowing without placing an online order is not possible.
You need your library card which has been used in the hmt before to place an order. If you have forgotten your library password, please request a new password from the library’s user account page.
Our “library window” – “Bibliotheksfenster” in the reading room will be open for the services. The window is next to the main entrance of the Rostock University of Music and Drama.
You can return or collect ordered items during the service hours.

The Library is devoted to the collection, conservation and provision of music, sound carriers, and academic publications relating to music and theatre. As a specialist library it is open to all students and staff of the Rostock University of Music and Drama and the University of Rostock. Its stock comprises 13.500 books and printed journals, 39.000 items of sheet music, 7100 sound recordings and other items as well as ejournals, ebooks and databases. We also host 12000 media items of musicology of the Rostock University Library.
The stock is arranged by the classification system and can be searched on the computerized catalogue.
With the attached gallery and numerous work spaces in the vault of the former confessional building, the library is an ideal place for concentrated work. A PC pool enables the use of CD-ROMs and to perform internet researches. A variety of players are available for CDs, tapes and records. WLAN is available for members of the University of Music and Theatre.
