Florian Ahlborn

Florian Ahlborn completed his Diplom degree in Speaking and Speech Training at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart.  During studies, he consolidated his singing and acting skills at various masterclasses and completed a period of stay abroad at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York, USA.

He also completed various continuous professional development courses, e.g. Estill Voice Training (EVT®), Zurich Resource Model (ZRM®) and courses PEP® and Public Speaking Coaching with PEP® (according to Dr. Michael Bohne).

After teaching at various universities and education institutions, he was appointed lecturer for the subject Speaking as part of the degree course Musical at the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen in 2012 and also lecturer for the subject Speech Training at the Joop van den Ende Academy Hamburg. In 2016 he moved to Rostock and the hmt, where he now holds a position as artistic member of staff for speech training. In this role, he teaches students from all institutes and also provides individual coaching lessons that focus on mental strength and performing competence.

Alongside his work as a teacher, Florian Ahlborn has also made himself a name as a reader, performer as part of music-literary stage programmes and literature tours, which have taken him to countries and regions such as Belgium, South Tirol, France, and Poland. Further witnesses of his diverse studio activities can also be found in the radio plays “Die Maschine” (The Machine) and “Carneval in Paris”, as well as the book publication “Die Quellen sprechen lassen” (Let the Sources Speak).
