Exchange with universities in the Baltic Sea region
International exchange is highly valued at Rostock University of Music and Drama (hmt Rostock). From 23 to 27 March 2026, 15 students from Malmö, Wrocław and Helsinki, as well as one lecturer each from Malmö and Vilnius, are expected to attend. Together with seven students and nine teachers from Rostock, they will spend a week working together on the theme of "Nordic Voices: Mozart Reflections" in individual and group lessons and in ensembles. On Friday, 27 March, they invite you to the final concert in the Chamber Music Hall at 5 p.m.
The exchange, in which the Malmö Academy of Music, the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the University of the Arts Helsinki are participating, is taking place as part of the ERASMUS+ "Blended Intensive Programme" (BIP). This is the second time that the hmt Rostock has taken advantage of this funding. The first such exchange, with a focus on the Baltic Sea region as requested by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, was carried out very successfully in October 2025 in the bassoon department.
